Antonio Barletta

ANTONIO BARLETTA, 76 Antonio Barletta, 76, died November 25, 2013 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center. He was the husband of Victoria (Zampella) Barletta. Born in S. Clemente, Italy, he was the son of the late Pasquale and Giovanna (DelloStritto) Barletta. Antonio was employed for 15 years as a refinisher by Kennedy Tool and Die, Birdsboro, retiring in 2002. He was a veteran of the Italian Army, where he served from 1958-1960. He was a member of Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Douglassville, Union Twp., PA. He was a Life Member of Victor Emmanuel II Beneficial Society. His proudest moment was when he became an American citizen. Antonio loved his family and enjoyed entertaining friends. He also enjoyed building furniture. In addition to his wife Victoria, he is survived by a son Anthony P., husband of Janine Barletta of Royersford, PA, and a daughter Liana, wife of Sidney Barnette, Ephrata, PA. He is also survived by a brother Tomaso Barletta of Italy, and three sisters, Maria D'Amico and Franca Dimenico of Italy and Anna Raffaele of Rome, Italy. There are also three grandchildren, Maxwell, Samuel and Bailey. He was predeceased by a grandson Alexander. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, 905 Chestnut St. Douglassville, PA 19518. A viewing will be held on Saturday from 8:45-9:45 a.m. Interment in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Birdsboro, PA. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Immaculate Conception Academy, 903 Chestnut St. Douglassville, PA 19518. Dengler Funeral Home, Inc., Birdsboro, PA is in charge of the arrangements.
