Benjamin F. Gromley

BENJAMIN F. GROMLEY, 91, OF FREDERICK Benjamin F. Gromley, 91, husband of Jane (Custer) Gromley, Frederick Living, Upper Frederick Twp., died Monday, at his residence. He was a former resident of Limerick and Lower Providence townships. Mr. Gromley was born on March 20, 1920, in Gypsy, Indiana Co., and was the son of the late William M. and Lola M. (Smith) Gromley. He was a graduate of South Fork High School, Johnstown, and served in the US Army Air Corps, during World War II. Mr. Gromley retired in 1978, from the Philadelphia Electric Co., Phoenixville, where he was an appliance repair technician for 28 years. Mr. Gromley was a member of Trinity Reformed Church, United Church Of Christ, Collegeville, Warren Lodge #310, Free &Accepted Masons, Collegeville, and the Reading Consistory. In addition to his wife, Mr. Gromley is survived by his sisters, Mary Huston, Harrisburg, and Harriet Jarvie, Windsor, OH. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, in the chapel at Frederick Living, Route 73 at Heimbach Rd., Upper Frederick Twp., with the Rev. Dr. Martha B. Kriebel, Pastor Trinity Reformed United Church Of Christ, officiating. Burial will be private in Keelor's Cemetery, Upper Frederick Twp. Arrangements are by the Holcombe Funeral Home, Inc., 21 Main St., Trappe.
