Betty A. Ballantine

BETTY A. BALLANTINE, 84, OF KIMBERTON Betty A. (Quay) Ballantine, 84, of Kimberton and Pottstown, died on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 in Parkhouse Providence Pointe, Upper Providence. She was the wife of the late Robert D. Ballantine, who died earlier that day. Born in Chester Springs, she was the daughter of the late George and Florence (Miles) Quay. Betty was a graduate of Downingtown High School, class of 1945. She was a longtime member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Chester Springs, and a member of the Kimberton Grange. She loved to crochet and embroider. Surviving are a daughter, B. Roberta Tetzlaff, of Muskegon, MI; sons, Ronald Ballantine pf Smyrna, DE, and Bruce Ballantine of Millsboro, DE; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and a brother, Robert Quay of Phoenixville. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Russell, Sam, Olive, Jennie and Effie. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service in St. Peter's Pikeland United Church of Christ, 1193 Clover Mill Road, Chester Springs, on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at 12 noon. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Pikeland United Church of Christ Cemetery, Chester Springs. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12 noon.
