Betty Joan Renninger

BETTY JOAN RENNINGER, 85 Betty Joan (Henderson) Renninger, 85, of East Coventry, and formerly of Independence, KS, wife of James H. Renninger, passed away Sunday April 27, 2014 at Manatawny Manor. Born in Independence, KS, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Gertrude (Martin) Henderson. Betty volunteered at the Phoenixville Hospital and Mercy Hospital in Kansas. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts, especially painting, ceramics and making silk flowers. She loved to golf, bowl, play bingo and go to the beach. Betty sang in the choir at St. Ann Roman Catholic Church in Phoenixville and St. Andrew's in Kansas. Betty was known for her great sense of humor. Surviving along with her husband are two daughters, Patti Calicyo wife of John, and Peggy Renninger fianc of Don Dabback; one son, Mike Renninger; daughter-in-law, Sharon Renninger-Cook wife of Dave Cook; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Maureen Henderson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Betty was predeceased by her son David Renninger; brother Robert Henderson; and sister Rosemary Henderson. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas Moore Roman Catholic Church, 2101 Pottstown Pike, Pottstown, PA 19465, with Fr. Hugh J. Dougherty officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 1, 2014 from 10-10:45 a.m. at the church. Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 711 N.
