Bonnie J. Schultz

BONNIE J. SHULTZ, OCTOBER 30, 1942 - OCTOBER 10, 2012 Bonnie Jane Shultz, 69, Phoenixville, Chester County, formerly of Williamsburg, passed away Wednesday at Phoenixville Hospital, after an extended illness. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Harold K. and Grace A. (Shaw) Shultz. Surviving are a sister-in-law, Nelly Shultz of rural Martinsburg; a niece, Veronique Stern (husband, Kevin) of rural Duncansville, and two great nephews, Kris Stern and Erik Stern. She was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth H. Shultz in 2002. Bonnie was a 1960 graduate of Williamsburg High School and a 1964 graduate of Lock Haven State Teachers College, where she received her bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Special Education. She also later received her master's degree in Mathematics. She retired as a math and algebra teacher from Pottstown Middle School in 1997 after 33 years of service. While serving the Pottstown School District, she was involved with producing many middle school musicals annually. Bonnie formerly attended Trinity United Church of Christ, Williamsburg. She was a lifelong learner, and especially enjoyed Broadway musicals, and her pet cat, Mitzie. A public graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Shellytown Fairview Cemetery, rural Williamsburg, with Pastor David F. Banaszak officiating. Interment will then follow. Arrangements are by John C. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg.
