Charles R. Auman Sr.

CHARLES R. AUMAN SR., 78 Charles R. Auman Sr., 78, husband of Sara Jane (Seitz) Auman, died Tuesday at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Born in Pine Forge, he was a son of the late Harry L. and the late Bessie (Haas) Auman. Charles was the owner of Charlie's Wheel Alignment for over 40 years in Gilbertsville. He served in the army during the Korean War. He was a member of Pike Township Sportsmen's Association. He was an avid fisherman, enjoying trips to Delaware Bay. He also liked to spend time at the "Turf Club". Surviving in addition to his wife are one daughter, Sandy Hilbert of Perkiomenville; two sons, Charles Auman Jr. of Milford, DE, and Linford Landis of Milford, DE; two sisters, Mary Hahn of Reading and Joan Santiago of Pottstown; 11 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by one daughter, Mary Jane Auman; one brother, Robert Auman, and two sisters, Peggy Leathem and Loretta Keim. Relatives and friends will be received from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Morrell Funeral Home Inc., 124 West Philadelphia Avenue, Boyertown, Pa. There will be no viewing.
