Emma Jeanne Anson

EMMA JEANNE ANSON Emma Jeanne (Detar) Anson died on Friday April 26, 20 I J at Powerback Rehabilitation in Norristown. She was the wife of the late William R. Anson, Jr. She was 80 years old. Emma Jeanne was born on July 13, 1932 in Pottstown, PA, a daughter of the late Emma (Burdan) and David D. Detar, MD. Growing up, she was active with the Emanuel Lutheran Church in Pottstown. She was a graduate of the Abington Hospital School of Nursing, where she earned her R.N. For many years she was employed by Montgomery Orthopedic Associates in Norristown. She was a long time resident of Jeffersonville and a member of Haws Avenue United Methodist Church in Norristown. At church, she was a member of the United Methodist Women and sang in the choir for many years. She was also a member of the former Colony Club of West Norriton and was a member of their chorus "The Coloneers". She is survived by three children, William R. Anson III of Jeffersonville, Elizabeth Jeanne Yost of Pottstown and Deborah Anne Falk of Millersville. Also surviving are a brother, David Dewey Detar of Pottstown and three grandchildren, Amy Anson Falk-Wiker of Conestoga, Jennifer Elizabeth Yost of Pottstown and Julie Anne Falk of MilIersville. Funeral services for relatives and friends will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Haws Avenue United Methodist Church, 800 W. Marshall Street, Norristown, PA 19401. The Rev. Scott Friedgen- Veitch, pastor of the church will officiate. Interment will follow at Green Tree Cemetery in Oaks, PA. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 9 to 9:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate memorial contributions be made to Haws Avenue United Methodist Church at the above address.
