Eric E. Vaughan

ERIC E. VAUGHAN, 60, SPRING CITY Eric E. Vaughan, 60, husband of Veronica "Ronnie" Mitchell, died Saturday, September 29, 2012 at home. Born in Phoenixville in 1952, he was the son of Elmer and Helen (Winchester) Vaughan. He is survived by Mrs. Helen (Winchester) Vaughan. Eric was a committed Fire Fighter. He was the former Treasurer and member of the Mont Clare Fire Company. A Fire Fighter and a member of Valley Forge Fire Company, West End Fire Company, and Limerick Fire Company. Eric also enjoyed camping, cooking and fishing Eric worked in transportation for the Southeastern Veterans Center, Spring City. His prior work experience included various construction and trucking companies. Surviving are his two sisters, Peg, wife of Al Garwood of Phoenixville, and Wanda, wife of Taylor Wilson of Pottstown; two brothers, Dan, husband of Denise Vaughan of Mont Clare, and Fred, husband of Diane of Perkiomenville, and several nieces and nephews. Eric was preceded in death by his father, Elmer, and brother, Dave. A graveside service will be held at the Limerick Garden of Memories, 44 Swamp Pike, Limerick, PA, October 3, 2012 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Steven Jones from the Southeastern Veteran's home officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the North Coventry Pantry 845 S. Hanover Street, Pottstown, PA 19465 or Montgomery County SPCA 1059 Sweisford Rd., Perkiomenville, PA 18074 Arrangements are being handled by Shalkop, Grace and Strunk Funeral Home.
