ERNEST C. CLEAVER, 73, OF BOYERTOWN Ernest C. Cleaver, 73, of Boyertown, passed away at Sanatoga Center, Pottstown on October 2, 2011. Born in Earl Township he was the son of the late John R. and Amelia (Eberhart) Cleaver. Ernest was a 1956 graduate of Boyertown High School. Ernest worked as a knitter at Well Spun for many years until his retirement. He is survived by four sisters, Ellen Cleaver of Gabelsville, Pearl Rutherford of Newmanstown, Shirley Pflieger of Manheim and Sandra Morgan of Gilbertsville; his nieces and nephews and their families, and his long time friend, William J. Harter and his family of Quakertown. Ernest was predeceased by a sister, Helen Benfield, and three brothers, Daniel, John and Earl Cleaver. To celebrate Ernie's life, family and friends are invited to attend a casual gathering and light luncheon at Union Jack's Inn on the Manatawny, 546 Manatawny Road, Boyertown, Saturday, October 8, 2011 between 2 - 4 p.m. Burial is private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Sanatoga Center, 225 Evergreen Road, Pottstown, PA 19464 or to Adrienne Alexis Harter Fund through TD Bank, 49 West End Boulevard, Quakertown, PA 18951.
