Florence S. Hunsberger

FLORENCE S. HUNSBERGER, 86, OF GREEN LANE Florence S. Hunsberger, 86, of Green Lane, passed away September 30, 2013. She was the widow of Jerry W. Hunsberger. Born in Souderton, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Carrie (Smith) Roeder. Flossie worked as the secretary for C.W. Hunsberger Auto in Green Lane for 15 years. Following that, she was a secretary for the former Baum Meat Packing Co. for 10 years. She ended her career in 1988 as a mill packer at the former Green Lane Hosiery Mill. Flossie was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran church, Pennsburg. She was also a member of the Perkiomen Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, and a former member of the Unami Court of the Order of the Amaranth. Surviving are sons: Dennis, of Telford; Neal, and his wife, Carol, of Perkiomenville; and Jerry, of Stroudsburg; grandchildren: Michael, Joanne, Karen, and Jeffrey; great-grandchildren; Jonathan, Sarah, Erica, Zachary, Brianna, and Leah; and a sister, Ruth Seasholtz of Kulpsville. Services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, 163 Main Street, Pennsburg. A viewing will be from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, with an Eastern Star service at 7:45 p.m. and from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday. Interment will be at Friedens Union Cemetery, Sumneytown.
