Frederick Walter Hansberry

FREDERICK WALTER HANSBERRY OF SPRING CITY Frederick "Fritz" Walter Hansberry of Spring City, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 6, 2012. He was 84 years old. Born October 16, 1928 in Roxborough, he was the son of the late George and Ida (Reigner) Hansberry. He was a graduate of the former Norristown High School and was a Master Electrician employed for 40 years by PECO, retiring as the Works Foreman at the West Conshohocken Gas Plant. He loved his family, restoring antique cars, and spending warm winters in Florida. "Fritz" is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Elizabeth "Betty" (Organtini) Hansberry; two sons, Frederick W. Hansberry Jr. (Shawna) and Timothy Hansberry (Michelle) of Schwenksville; three daughters, Helen Hansberry of Philadelphia, Carol Spacht (David) of Blue Bell and Sharon Ellwood (Archie) of Riverview, FL; seven grandchildren, Archie Ellwood Jr. (April), Bartholomew Ellwood, Heather Spacht King (Christopher), Donald Spacht, Beth Anne Spacht, Anthony Reilly, Sara Grace Hansberry and her soon to be born sibling, and one great-grandchild, Austin Ellwood. He is also survived by his sister, Eleanor Kolpak of Honeybrook. He was predeceased by his brothers, Dr. George Hansberry of Decatur, AL, and Donald Hansberry of Whiteford, MD. Family and friends may gather on Saturday, November 10 at 10:30 a.m. at the Kirk & Nice Funeral Home, 80 Stenton Avenue, off Butler Pike, Plymouth Meeting. Memorial service at 11:30 a.m. with burial immediately following the service.
