George M. Allen

GEORGE M. ALLEN, 88, OF PHOENIXVILLE George M. Allen, 88, husband of the late Janet E. (Boardman) Allen, of Phoenixville, and formerly of Mt. Laurel, NJ, died on Sunday, February 12, 2012 in Atria Woodbridge Place, Phoenixvillle. Born in Collingswood, NJ, he was the son of the late Roger and Beatrice (Moore) Allen. George served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a graduate of Temple University. He was a long time member of First United Methodist Church of Moorestown, NJ, and more recently of First United Methodist Church of Phoenixville. Surviving are sons, David Coe Allen of Ocean Springs, MS, and Mark George Allen and daughter-in-law, Eve of Douglassville; daughter, Elizabeth Freeze and son-in-law, James J. of Phoenixville, and grandchildren, Chelsea Allen, Justin Freeze, Tyler Freeze, Griffin Allen and Evan Allen. He was preceded in death by his sister, Janet Chapin. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service in the Devlin Rosmos Kepp & Gatcha Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 517 S. Main Street at Fourth Avenue, Phoenixville, on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Amy Smith officiating. Interment will be in Harleigh Cemetery, Camden, NJ.
