GLADYS W. TROOP, 77, OF ELVERSON Gladys W. (Wade) Troop, 77, of Hill Road, Elverson, wife of John C. Troop, died Wednesday at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Born in Pottsgrove, she was a daughter of the late H. Russell Wade and the late Edith S. (Snyder) Wade Geiser. She was a homemaker, and a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Pottstown. Mrs. Troop supported the "feed the children" charity for many years. Surviving besides her husband is a son Douglass husband of Laurie Troop, Douglassville; a brother Russell Wade, Boyertown; a sister Gloria Skora, Kenilworth; two grandchildren John & Jessica Troop; four step grandchildren and five step great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son Russell David Troop. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. on Monday from the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory 359 King St., Pottstown. Officiating will be Reverend Peter Nichols. Burial will be in St. Peter's UCC Cemetery, Knauertown. There will be a viewing Monday morning from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
