Harry M. Lorah

HARRY M. LORAH, 83, OF BOYERTOWN Harry M. Lorah, 83, of Boyertown, husband of Pauline D. (Angstadt) Lorah, died Tuesday at his residence. Born in Colebrookdale Township, he was a son of the late Harry C. Lorah and the late Mabel M. (Mathias) Lorah. Harry attended Oley High School. He worked in the metal department at the Boyertown Burial Casket Company for 41 years. During the time he worked at the casket company he also worked for his father at Conrad's Garage in Pleasantville as a mechanic for 20 years. After the casket company closed he worked at Boyertown Jr. High East as a Custodian for nine years. Harry enjoyed spending time with his family and his grandchildren. He served in the Army during the Korean War. Harry was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was a life member of the Friendship Hook and Ladder Fire Company in Boyertown. He was also a member of Liberty Fire Company in New Berlinville and Pike Township Sportsmen's Association. Surviving in addition to his wife of over 62 years are one son, Dennis P. Lorah, husband of Joan (Buckley) of Lansdale; one daughter, Diane L. (Lorah), wife of Robert D. McElwee of Boyertown; one grandson, Paul B. Lorah, husband of Julie (Rautio) of Redmond, WA; one granddaughter, Marie P. Lorah of Virginia Beach, VA, and one sister, Nancy L. Bonell of Boyertown. He was predeceased by one sister, Shirley Conrath. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Morrell Funeral Home Inc., 124 West Philadelphia Avenue, Boyertown, PA. A viewing will be held from 9:30-11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oley Cemetery, Spangsville.
