Helen E. (Cane) Edleman, 89, wife of 63 years of the late Clarence R. Edleman Jr., of Spring City, passed away Friday, April 4, 2014, in Manatawny Manor. Born in Glenside, she was a daughter of the late Helen (Keumichel) and Alfred Cane.
Mrs. Edleman was a member of Sacred Heart R.C. Church in Royersford. She had been employed in the textile industry, retiring from the former Spring City Knitting Mill. Helen loved being with family, watching the Phillies and sitting with her beloved dog, Mikey, on her lap.
Mrs. Edleman is survived by her children, C. Robert Edleman III, husband of Saundra, of Sanatoga, and a daughter, Carol "Sue" Smith, wife of the late Robert H. Smith, of Spring City, with whom she resided. She is also survived by her sister, Viola Dougherty, of Hatboro, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Beside her parents, Helen was predeceased by a brother, Alfred.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass on Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart R.C. Church, at Lewis Road and Walnut Street in Royersford. Officiating will be the Rev. Peter J. DiMaria. Interment will follow in the Limerick Garden of Memories. Friends will be received from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at the church.
