Helen Irene Troxell

HELEN IRENE TROXELL, 68, OF EAST COVENTRY Helen Irene (Rehrig) Troxell, 68, of Pottstown, East Coventry Twp., wife of Thomas Troxell, passed away on Sunday at her home. Born and raised in Leighton, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Martha (Goldberg) Rehrig. Helen was a member of People's EC Church in Lehighton. She worked for Owen J. Roberts School District for 18 years as a library aide, retiring in 2001. Surviving with her husband of 46 years is son, Jason Troxell and his wife, Andrea Kerslake of Hagerstown, MD, and daughter, Lorrie Troxell of Mont Clare; sisters, Edna Reinhart of Jim Thorpe; Dorothy Lauer; Isabelle Rabuck, wife of Blaine; Catherine Klotz, wife of James, and Pearl Zimmerman, wife of Thomas, all of Lehighton; grandchildren, Riley Anne and Evan Troxell, and sister-in-law, Virginia Rehrig. Along with her parents, she is predeceased by her sisters, Pauline Eckhart and Myrtle Rehrig, and brothers, Ethan, Robert, Norman and Willard Rehrig. The memorial service will be Saturday, Nov. 3, 11 a.m. at People's EC Church, 216 Wagner St., Lehighton, with Pastor Kenneth Ogden officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, Nov. 3, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. A reception will follow at the American Legion Hall, 381 Bridge Street, Lehighton, PA. Burial will be private and at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Helen's name to Relay for Life Pottstown, 480 Norristown, Road, Suite 150, Blue Bell, PA 19422.
