Isidoros N. Tsouros

ISIDOROS N. TSOUROS, OF EAST COVENTRY Isidoros N. "Steve" Tsouros, of East Coventry, passed away early Monday morning Dec., 17, 2012 peacefully in his sleep surrounded by his family. He was born on March 25, 1917 on the island of Chios, Greece. Steve lived in Chios with his family until the Second World War when he served as an officer in the Royal Greek Navy. After the war, he served as ship chandler for seventeen years in Argentina. In 1965, he married his beloved wife of 47 years, Marcella, and moved to the United States. Steve and Marcella owned the well known North Coventry establishment The Coventry Pub for over 35 years until they retired. Steve was known and loved by the community and was affectionately called "Little Steve". He was a kind and generous man but first and foremost a gentleman. He will be remembered for his sharp intellect, and most certainly for his avid love of sports and his beloved Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles. Steve is survived by his wife, Marcella, and three children, Nick Tsouros, Despina (Peter) Aftosmes and Zoitsa (Jeffrey) Sturm. He is also survived by his four adoring grandchildren, Evan, Zoi , Zack and Tyler. His funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21, 2012 at St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church, 600 South Trooper Road, Jeffersonville, PA. Viewing one hour prior to service in church. Interment in Fernwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to Saint Sophia Church's Beautification Fund. Vraim Funeral Home, Inc.
