James Campbell, 81, widower of Catherine "Kit" (Fuertsch) Campbell of Reynolds Ave. Pottstown, passed away Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, in the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.
Born in West Chester, Pa., he was the son of Al "Blackie" Belagh and Dorothy (Hyde) Belagh.
Jim was employed as a tire builder by the Firestone Corp. and later as a custodian for the Pottstown High School. He was a U.S. Army Korean War
veteran, a member of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church and was an avid bowler and lifetime Phillies and Eagles fan.
Surviving is a son, James Campbell, and his wife Kathy, of East Coventry Township; a daughter, Kathleen M. Campbell of Pottstown; a brother, Robert Belagh; two sisters, Eleanor Huzzard and Joan Rinehart; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son, Joseph Campbell, and a daughter, Kelly Ann Campbell.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at the Warker-Troutman Funeral Home, 726 High St., Pottstown. Burial will be in St. Aloysius New Cemetery. A viewing will be held Wednesday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and Thursday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
