JULIA S. BARTMAN, 98, OF POTTSTOWN Julia S. (Sacher) Bartman, 98, of Brooke Road, Pottstown, widow of Richard L. Bartman, died Monday at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Born in Vel'Ky` Slavkov, Slovakia, she was the daughter of the late Julia Sacher. She was a graduate of Pottstown High School. Julia worked as a bookeeper for Meadowbrook Diaries for 15 years, Pottstown Paper Box Co., and the former First Federal Savings & Loan. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, where her husband Richard and she were married on May 30, 1940. She was in the Sister's Gladys Circle, and treasurer of the Mite Society at church. Julia volunteered at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center Medical Records , and the American Red Cross. She is survived by a son David Bartman and his wife Elizabeth Mae (Betsy), Pottstown; a daughter Judith (Judy) L. wife of Clifford J.F. Diehl, Fairfax, Virginia; three grandaughters Kimberly wife of Edward Staniszewski, Karyn wife of John Hagmann, Kirstyn engaged to Matthew Veneziale; two grandsons Eric C. Diehl and his wife Kalei, Stephen G. Diehl; four great-grandsons Tyler R. Hagmann, Colby J. Hagmann, Dylan E. Staniszewski, Brandon D. Staniszewski; and three great-grandaughters Lilia Diehl, Ke'alohi Diehl, Kathryn (Katie) Hagmann. Memorial Service will be 12 p.m. on Friday from Cedarville United Methodist Church, 1092 Laurelwood Road, Pottstown. Officiating will be Reverend Sherry Lantz and Reverend Barry Moyer. Burial will be private in Pottstown Cemetery-West. There will be no viewing. Contributions may be made in her memory to the charity or church of one's choice.
