Margaret E. Wausnock

MARGARET E. WAUSNOCK, 94, OF POTTSTOWN Margaret E. Wausnock of Pottstown passed away peacefully February 28, 2012 at Parkhouse Providence Point in Royerford. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late James McKinney and Mary Anne (Crowley) McKinney. Margaret was the widow of George H. Wausnock who passed away in 1975. Affectionately known as Marge or Peg by her many friends, Margaret worked more than 40 years at Gudebrod Knitting Mills in Stowe. Margaret was proud of her Irish heritage which probably contributed to her love of laughter and her ability to tell and remember countless jokes and limericks. She was an avid baker and cook and looked forward to all gatherings of family and friends, especially holidays. Margaret had a soft spot for all animals, especially homeless cats, and adopted many throughout her lifetime treating them as family members. She was extremely kind-hearted and generous in nature which endeared her to all who knew her. Margaret is survived by two sons, Dennis Wausnock of Pottstown and his fiancee, Shirley Morey, and George Wausnock of Pottstown and his wife, Joan; seven grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a step-sister, Kathryn Minoske of Zephyr Hills, FL. Margaret was predeceased by a daughter, Carol Reppert, wife of Lawrence Reppert of Douglassville. A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 8, from 9 to 10:45 a.m. at the Gathering Center of St. Aloysius Church on North Hanover Street, Pottstown. A funeral mass will follow the viewing at 11 a.m. Interment in St. Aloysius new cemetery will be private and at the descretion of the family.
