Nicholas A. "Big Nick" Petrillo

NICHOLAS A. PETRILLO, 91 OF CUMRU TWP. Nicholas A. "Big Nick" Petrillo, 91 of Cumru Twp., Berks Co., and formerly of Birdsboro, passed away on September 26, 2011 in the Mifflin Center. Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Dominic and Rosa (Torino) Petrillo. He was the widower of Lillian I. (Keller) Petrillo who died in 1976. He had been a self employed stone mason. He last worked at Birdsboro Corporation as a crane operator and electrician before retiring in 1981. He was a member of Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Douglassville. He was a Navy veteran of WW II. He was a member of the Birdsboro Sportsmens Club and the Birdsboro Water Authority where we was past president. He is survived by two sons, Barry L., husband of Margaret Petrillo of Birdsboro, and Teddy N., husband of Linda L. Petrillo of Douglassville. He is also survived by a daughter, Gina, wife of Robert Wenrich of Birdsboro. There are four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, 905 Chestnut Street, Douglassville (Union Twp.) on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 10 a.m. A viewing will be held at the church from 8:45-9:45 a.m. Interment will be in Immaculate Conception R.C. Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Wood to Wonderful, 1044 N. 8th Street, Reading, PA 19604. The Dengler Funeral Home, Inc., 144 North Spruce Street, Birdsboro, is in charge of arrangements.
