PEARL LARUE MEST, 72, OF NORTH COVENTRY Pearl Larue (Rhodes) Mest, 72, of North Coventry Twp., PA, died on Friday, March 1, 2013 at the Lehigh Valley Medical Center, Allentown, PA. She was the wife of Paul W. Mest, Jr., with whom she shared 26 years of marriage. Born in Upper Pottsgrove Twp., PA, she was the daughter of the late Cecil Rhodes and Victoria (Gumbarge) Rhodes. In earlier years, Pearl worked as a sewer for Springford Knitting. She then worked for Middleton Tobacco. She enjoyed cooking and dancing. Survivors include two daughters, Vicki Davis and her companion, Kim of North Carolina, and Marlene, wife of Fred Mansfield of Key Largo, FL, and two stepdaughters, Kathy Taylor of Pottstown, PA, and Vicci, wife of Barry Eidell of Pottstown. Also surviving are grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Edward Gumbarge, husband of Diane of Upper Pottsgrove Twp., and her stepdaughter, Donna Saraceni.
