Philip E. Pace Sr.

PHILIP E. PACE, SR., 86, OF POTTSTOWN Philip E. Pace, Sr., 86, of Pottstown, PA, died on Wednesday Evening, October 3, 2012 at the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center, Pottstown, PA. He was the husband of Gwendolyn (Jobeck) Pace of Pottstown and the late Ruth E. (Boone) Pace. Born in Pottstown, PA, he was the son of Antonio and Agnes (Ines) Pace. For many years, Mr. Pace worked as a clothes presser for Pace Tailoring and Dry Cleaning in Pottstown, PA. He then worked for Mrs. Smith Foil Company, before retiring. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army. He was known for his wonderful sense of humor, passion for his family and his strong Christian beliefs. Surviving in addition to his wife are, one son, Philip E. Pace, Jr., husband of Linda of Pottstown, PA; four daughters, Juanita, wife of Lester Stout of Pottstown, PA; Enia, wife of David Gaugler of Pottstown, PA; Valerie, wife of James Reifsneider of Spring City, PA; Denise, wife of Peter Kemmerer of Pottstown, PA; four stepchildren; one brother, James Pace of Stowe, PA; 10 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his three brothers, Michael, Anthony and Jaye Pace, and his four sisters, Anna Marcozzi, Lena Huffman, Emma Colasanti and Elizabeth Dyke. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Monday, October 8, 2012, at the Houck & Gofus Funeral Home, Inc., 955 N. Charlotte Street, Pottstown, PA. A viewing will be held from 1-2 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Pottstown, PA.
