Richard I. Erb

RICHARD I. ERB, 85, OF PALMYRA Richard I. Erb, 85, of Palmyra, formerly of Royersford, PA, died Wednesday October 31, 2012 in the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. He was the husband of Thelma S. Hoover Erb to whom he was married 20 years this past June and the late Arlene McCrone Erb who died in 1991. Born in Boyertown, PA, on March 10, 1927, he was the son of the late Charles and Verna Rothenberger Erb. He was a retired Data Analyst from General Electric, Valley Forge with 30 years of service. Richard was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of World War II, a graduate of Royersford High School and attended Penn State University. He also attended the Bible Fellowship Church, Lebanon, and enjoyed flying model airplanes, gardening and playing computer games. He was a generous giver who loved his family and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Richard D. Erb of Ukraine, and Pastor Ronald C. Erb and wife, Carla of Allentown; three grandchildren, Rachel Erb; Daniel, husband of Sandra Erb, and Elizabeth Erb; two great-grandchildren, Samuel and Zachary Erb; a brother, Charles (Skip), husband of Fern Erb of Venice, FL, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, David Erb. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday November 7, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Bible Fellowship Church, 1635 Mill Road, Lebanon, PA 17042. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Limerick Garden of Memories, Limerick, PA. Viewing will be held on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Kreamer Funeral Home, 618 E. Main Street, Annville, and also on Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. at the Church.
