Robert H. Wagoner, 82, husband of Gloria M. (Care) Wagoner, of Chester Springs, went home to be with the "Hill Gang" on Tuesday, February 19, 2013. Born in West Chester, he was a son of the late Louis M. Wagoner and Ella M. (Strickland) Wagoner.
A veteran, he served for the U.S. Navy
during the Korean War
. Mr. Wagoner was a graduate of the Spring City High School in 1948. He worked for many years as a station engineer at the Columbia Gas Company in Eagle. He was a member of the Mt. Pickering Lodge, #446, Free and Accepted Masons, of Upper Uwchland, where he was a Past Master. He was also a member of the Tall Cedars of Lebanon Forest #24, Spring City. Mr. Wagoner was a long term member of the Nantmeal United Methodist Church. He was also Cub Master of Troop 89 in Ludwigs Corner. Mr. Wagoner was also a member of the Spring City American Legion Post 602, Thomas W. O'Connor.
In addition to his wife of 56 years, Mr. Wagoner is survived by two sons: Timothy A., husband of Donna (Adams) Wagoner, of Vineland, NJ; Thomas F. Wagoner, of Chester Springs, PA; four grandchildren: Mark A., Joshua D., Luke M., Benjamin J. Wagoner, all of Vineland NJ. Mr. Wagoner was pre-deceased by one sister: Lois M. Hite.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Masonic Service at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA 19468 on Sunday, February 24, 2013 at 5:00PM. The funeral service will immediately follow by Rev. Eric D. Ressler. Burial will be held privately in the Nantmeal United Methodist Church Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4:00 - 5:00PM. There will be a celebration of Mr. Wagoner's life at a location and time that will be announced at a later date on the funeral home website. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in his name to the "Mt.
