Robert P. Grebe

ROBERT P. GREBE, 82, OF POTTSTOWN Robert P. Grebe, 82, of Pottstown, widower of Elizabeth M. (Ewing) Grebe, died Wednesday at Parkhouse Providence Point, Royersford. Born in Sanatoga, PA, he was a son of the late Frank Grebe and the late Dorothy (Babel) Grebe. Mr. Grebe worked as a Truck Driver for Sunny Slope Dairy, Mrs. Smith Pie Company and other trucking companies for over 40 years until his retirement. Robert served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Zion's United Church of Christ, Pottstown, the Sanatoga Fire Company, Royersford VFW post #6341, and was a member of the Teamsters Union. He is survived by a daughter, Tina M., wife of Gene Weaver, Pottstown; three sons, James R. Whisler and his wife, Patti, Pottstown; Robert Grebe, and Edward Grebe; a brother, John Grebe, Boyertown, and grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Gary L. Whisler; two brothers, George and Ralph Grebe, and two sisters, Marian Sell and Blanche Johnson. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. on Monday from the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory, 359 King St., Pottstown. Officiating will be Reverend Linda Higgins. Burial with military honors will be in Highland Memorial Park. There will be a viewing Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Contributions may be made in his memory to Zion's United Church of Christ 209 Chestnut St., Pottstown, PA 19464.
