Rose V. Chernous

ROSE V. CHERNOUS, 94, OF PHOENIXVILLE Rose V. Chernous, 94, wife of the late John D. Chernous, of Phoenixville, PA, formerly of Chester Springs, PA, died April 8, 2013 in the Golden Loving Center, Phoenixville, PA. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was a daughter of the late Ignazis and Domenica Valenti. She graduated High School in Brooklyn, New York in 1937, went to School of Civil Engineering for drafting and mechanical drawing and worked for a Combustion Engineering firm in New York. Rose married and moved to Pennsylvania in 1956 where they built a beautiful home and raised two children in Chester Springs, PA. Rose went to work in 1971 for Owen J. Roberts High School's cafeteria as their snack bar cashier for 13 years. Rose was very devoted to her husband and family. Rose enjoyed reading, art, building her beautiful home with her husband and family, crafts, quilting and cooking were some of her many talents and interests. Two children survive Mrs. Chernous, John P. Chernous, of Morgantown, PA, and Rose Ann Chernous, of Chester Springs, PA, and one granddaughter, Carolyn Chernous. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the graveside funeral service on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the St. Matthew's Lutheran Church Cemetery, 2440 Conestoga Road, Chester Springs, PA 19425.
