Ruth Ann Mest

RUTH ANN MEST Ruth Ann (Diliplane) Mest of Mantua, Ohio, passed away on November 26, 2012 under hospice care. She was born December 4, 1937 in Reading, PA, to Charles and Annie (Gift) Diliplane. She graduated from Boyertown High School in 1955 and married Russell B. Mest Jr. They moved to Stow, Ohio, where she became a mother to four sons. She was active in scouting, Sarah Circle at Trinity Lutheran Church and Emblem Club of Kent Elks. She worked for Montgomery Ward, then became a florist, retiring from Giant Eagle in Stow. In addition to her husband of 57 years, Russell Mest Jr., she is survived by sons, Ronald (Melissa) of Mantua, OH; Rodney (Bill) of Houston, TX; Richard (Tracy) of Stow, OH, and Robert (Traci) of Bloomington, IN; grandchildren, Josh Mest of Kent, OH; Mathew, Rachel and Michael of Bloomington, IN, and Jeff and Joe Whitacre of Stow, OH; brother, Chuck (Linda) Diliplane of Austin, TX, and sister, Lucille (Leroy) Gehris of Gilbertsville, PA. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Roxanne. A memorial service will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, 325 Covered Bridge Road, Oley, PA 19547, on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 11 a.m., officiated by Pastor Robert Mitchell. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Christ Lutheran Church. F.J. Corrigan Funeral Services, Orange Village, OH, is in charge of arrangements.
