Stewart F. Brodbeck

STEWART F. BRODBECK, 60, OF POTTSTOWN Stewart F. Brodbeck, 60, of Pottstown, PA, companion of Doris E. Devine, died Sunday at Berkshire Center, Reading, PA. Born in Pottstown, PA, he was a son of the late Howard and Margaret Glenn (Stewart) Brodbeck. Stewart was a graduate of Pottsgrove High School class of 1972. Playing baseball during high school, Stewart loved all sports but his passion was baseball, and he had received many trophies for playing baseball. He loved trucks and was always driving a Ford pickup truck. He was a United States Navy Veteran serving during Vietnam where he received a Purple Heart. Stewart was a self-employed mason for many years and later worked for H & K of Reading. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved to go fishing, camping, and hunting. He was a member of the VFW Post 780, Pottstown; and the Manatawny Association. Surviving in addition to his companion is one aunt, Ruth Mellinger, Willow Street, PA; his extended family, sister-in-law Marilyn Arms, Pottstown; three nephews, Steven Anzulewicz and his partner Todd, Wilmington, DE; Michael and wife Janene and sons Jake and Josh Anzulewicz, Gilbertsville; Eric and wife Sue Ann and daughter Erica Anzulewicz, Pottstown, and his beloved cat Clarence. He was predeceased by his uncle Richard Mellinger. At Stew's request all services will be private at the convenience of the family.
