Thurman E. Wysong Sr.

THURMAN E. WYSONG SR., 78, OF GILBERTSVILLE Thurman E. "Earl" Wysong Sr., 78, husband of Leona E. (Fitze) Wysong of Gilbertsville, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Born in Hamlin, West Virginia, Earl was the only son of the late Essie (Wysong) Kennedy. Earl was employed as a Truck Driver and a Lead Man in North Wales and as a Mechanic and Matinence man for Great American Knitting Mills until his retirement. He served in the US Navy aboard the USS Everglades AD-24 and was an active member of the Shepherd of the Hills Church and the Spring St. Senior Citizens Club. He is survived by his sons, Thurman E. "EJ", husband of Kim Wysong Jr. of Gilbertsville, Gregory L. Wysong of Fleetwood, Bryan E. husband of Lisa Wysong of Tampa, FL, and Timothy S. husband Eileen Wysong of Flowertown, PA; grandchildren, Vincent DeMatto, Miranda Chesser, Kevin Wysong, Justin Wysong, Kayla Wysong, Chelsea Wysong and Joelle Wysong, and great-grandchildren, Dominic DeMatto, Savannah Chesser and Evan Chesser. Memorial Services will be held at Shepherd of the Hills UCC Church, 527 Hoffmansville Road, Bechtelsville, PA 19505 at 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 29, 2014.
