W. Wilson Kline

W. WILSON KLINE, 98, OF BOYERTOWN W. Wilson Kline of Boyertown died on Monday March 31, 2014 at the Lutheran Home in Topton, PA at the age of 98. He was predeceased by his wife, Ann (Mest), and was the loving companion of the late Thelma King. Mr.Kline was born in Reading, and was the son of the late Howard and Edna (Schwanger) Kline. He was a graduate of Boyertown High School, and a 1936 graduate of Ohio State University, where he earned a BA in Business. Mr. Kline served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He worked as an Insurance agent for Prudential Insurance in Boyertown for 39 years, retiring in 1977. A longtime member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Boyertown, and member of the Elks Club, American Legion, and Friendship Hook and Ladder Fire Company, he enjoyed discussing history, current events, and politics. He is survived by his son, James W. Kline, husband of the late Pauline (Yednock) Kline of Macungie, and his daughter, Pamela K. McLaughlin, wife of Lee of Boyertown. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife and companion, he is predeceased by his two sisters, Anna Kohler and Dorothy Repko. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, April 8, at 11 a.m. at the Houck & Gofus Funeral Home, 955 N. Charlotte St. Pottstown, PA 19464. The family will receive guests at the funeral home from 10 to 11 a.m. Pastor John Friedlund will officiate the service and Interment will be at St. Paul's Cemetery, Amityville.
