Will E. "Butch" Rogers, 73, of Bechtelsville, husband of Ruth M. (Fitzcharles) Rogers of 55 years, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013, at Lehigh Valley Hospital.
Born in Lower Pottsgrove, he was the son of the late Bud R. Rogers and Jennie (Sell) Rogers.
Butch attended Pottstown High School, and later worked as a self-employed carpenter.
He enjoyed going to car shows, trains, carpentry work and spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed helping others and making people laugh with stories and jokes.
Butch was also a member of the Upper Perkiomen Sportsman Association.
Surviving along with his wife are his two sons, Guy Rogers, husband of Donna, of Earlville, Todd Rogers, husband of Patricia, of Hereford; one daughter, Tammy Rogers of Pottstown; two grandchildren, Morgan and Brooke Hedrick; three sisters, Joy Scharpf, wife of Chris, Joan Szajna, wife of the late Robert, Debbie Heft, wife of Carl; three brothers, Dennis Rogers, Harry Rogers, husband of Harriet, and Mark Rogers husband of Roseanne.
Along with his parents, Butch was predeceased by his sister, Betty Getty, wife of the late Alan.
A memorial service will be celebrated Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, at 4 p.m. at the Upper Perkiomen Sportsman Association, 398 E. Sixth St., Red Hill, PA 18076 .Visitation will be held Saturday from 3 to 4 p.m. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Butch's memory to the Upper Perkiomen Sportsman Association at the above address. If flowers are still sent, they may be delivered to the Upper Perkiomen Sportsman Association after 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7.
