William F. Burge

WILLIAM F. BURGE, 90, OF DOUGLASSVILLE William F. Burge, 90, husband of Grace (Barnard) Burge of Magnolia Dr., Douglassville, passed away Saturday in the Reading Hospital. Born in Garrison, PA, he was a son of the late McKinley and Elizabeth (Stockdale) Burge. William and Grace were married for 70 years. William was a graduate of West Virginia University. He was employed for 32 years by the Firestone Corp. He was a US Army veteran of WW II serving in the 101st Airborne Division and received a Purple Heart and bronze star. Surviving is a son Lewis and wife Pauline of Boyertown and a daughter Carol Daisy, Douglassville, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, sister Kathryn Trussell. He was predeceased by a brother Robert Burge and sisters Pauline Wilkins and Ruth Gates. Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the Warker-Troutman Funeral Home, 726 High St., Pottstown.Officiating will be Pastor Lee Hallman. Burial in Limerick Garden of Memories. A viewing will be held 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the Funeral Home.
