ELMER L. ZERN OF ROYERSFORD Elmer L. Zern of Royersford, PA, passed away at Parkhouse Providence Pointe on Monday, October 12, 2015. Elmer was born January 10, 1932 in Phoenixville, PA. He was the son of the late Charles D. Zern and Edna Mae (Landis) Zern. He is survived by his wife, Doris E. (Markley) Zern whom he loved dearly. Elmer was a long haul truck driver for Pillsbury for 27 years retiring in 1993. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Orioles. Elmer was also an avid deer hunter. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Winifred McCarraher, wife of Randolph, of Frederick, MD; two grandchildren, Albert “Jerry” McCarraher, husband of Callan, of Baltimore, MD and Jason McCarraher, husband of Lauren, of Frederick, MD, and one great-grandchild, June Elaine McCarraher. Elmer was predeceased by two brothers and six sisters. A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Valley Forge Memorial Gardens 352 S Gulph Road, King of Prussia, PA 19406.
