Paul Green Obituary
Born September 13, 1933 to the late Charles E. Colbert and Helen Green, he was the husband of the late Mildred (Beasley) Green.
Sam attended Pottstown High School and was a star athlete. He played football for Penn State University with Lenny Moore and Rosie Grier and was drafted by the Baltimore Colts. Sam is a member of the Tri-County Sports Hall of Fame.
Sam was employed by the Montgomery County Sheriff's Dept. and Montgomery County Opportunity Board and was a Pennsylvania State constable. He was also employed by Firestone & Tri-County Transportation.
A member of Keystone Masonic Lodge #113 and Montgomery Lodge #1271 of Pottstown, Sam was a leader to make his community a better place.
Surviving are sons: Frederick Watson, Pottstown, Lorenzo Watson, Easton, Pa., Robert "Bobby" Watson, Pottstown, Mark Gibson, Pottstown, Levy Green, Allentown, Gordon Stanley Beasley, Laurel, Md., Paul H. Green Jr., Alexandria, Va. and daughter Phyllis (Beasley-Beasley) Flagg, Pottstown. He was predeced in death by three sons, Samuel Green, Langston Watson and Jeffrey (Beasley) Green.
Homegoing service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Invictus Ministries Church, 79 N. Hanover Street, Pottstown. A viewing will be held from 9-11 a.m. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Pottstown. Repast at Montgomery Lodge #1271 of Pottstown, PA. Friends and Family welcome.
Arrangements are being handled by the DeBaptiste Funeral Home, West Chester.
