Alice Kertes Obituary
Born in Phoenixville, she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (McCabe) Stubanas.
Alice was a member of St. Aloysius Church in Pottstown. She enjoyed bowling, going to yard sales, and gardening. Alice worked at Stanley G. Flagg Co. for 30 years.
She is survived by her daughters Jane Maciak of Pottstown; Kathy Landis, wife of Thomas, of Pottstown; and Mary "Mar" Hummel, wife of Barry, of Ashland; grandchildren Allyson Hefferon, Priscilla Acosta, Lloyd Joseph Hodges, and Branden Hummel; and 7 great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, Aug. 16, 11:30 a.m at St. Aloysius Church, 223 Beech St., Pottstown, with Fr. Joseph Maloney officiating. Burial will follow in St. Aloysius New Cemetery, Pottstown. Visitation will be Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Alice's name to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.

Momma, it's been 7 years and I miss you more than ever. I wish you were here to share everything that has been going on. I miss talking to you and hugging you and kissing you. You were the best mother anyone could ever have. I know you are in HEAVEN and you have no more pain and GOD has restored your mind, heart and body to perfection. I CANNOT wait to see you again my precious mother. I love you now and ALWAYS! You're FOREVER in my heart ♥

Momma, I miss you so much! There's not a day that goes by that I don't remember all the great times we had and how much of a beautiful mother and best friend you always were to me. My life is so empty without you and I miss you every minute of the day, what a great loss this has been. My heart aches to see you again and to talk for hours like we always did. I know you are resting comfortably in our LORD's hands. I love you so much momma! Hugs, kisses and lots of tears.

I am Alice's daughter, Mary Hummel, I cannot say enough wonderful, beautiful words to describe my mother. She was always there for me and for everyone in her life. She was an earth angel. She is so special to me and there's a huge piece of my heart that is reserved especially for you mom. I love you so much and will miss you every day of my life. You don't have to suffer or worry or be in pain anymore, you are in the LORD's hands and I know we will be together again. Thank you for my Christian upbringing, you have made me the woman I am today. I love you MOM and will miss you terribly!

Some years ago when I became a friend of Alice's daughter, Jane, I also gained a very precious adopted "Mom". Alice would easily smile and had a great sense of humor. In recent years, in spite of difficulties and pain, Alice remained positive. I will miss this very special lady: but am so thankful for the assurance that one day we will be re-united. Love you, "Mom"!
