Barbara "Bobby" Richter

Barbara "Bobby" (Freeman) Richter, 78, wife of Alan F. Richter Sr., of Upper Providence Township, Pa., died Saturday morning, March 30, 2013 in the Neighborhood Hospice Center in West Chester, Pa. Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Albert "Bunny" Freeman and Irene "Rene" (Levin) Freeman.
Mrs. Richter was a graduate of the Lincoln High School in Philadelphia. She was a member of the water ski team. Mrs. Richter enjoyed water skiing up until her mid-50s. She was a devoted wife and adored the time she could spend with her family. She also enjoyed her time in Ocean City, N.J.
In addition to her husband of 45 years, Mrs. Richter is survived by her four children, Alan F. Richter Jr., husband of Rose (Serak) Richter, of Branchburg, N.J., Lisa J. McNamara, wife of Paul McNamara, of Menlo Park, Calif., Valerie J. Vieth, of Skillman, N.J., Scott L. Richter, husband of Carolyn (Sinowitz) Richter, of Phoenixville, Pa. She is also survived by one sister, Myra F. Goldman, wife of Arthur Goldman, of Delray Beach, Fla., and 10 grandchildren, Jason, Jannine and Melissa Richter, Brian and David McNamara, Jenny and Jeffrey Vieth, Julia, Michelle and Lindsay Richter. Additionally, she's survived by one niece, Kate Pechter, and one nephew, Steven Freemire.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Mrs. Richter's life Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the Campbell–Ennis–Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, Pa. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of her family. Friends will be received from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday morning at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, 480 Norristown Road, Suite 150, Blue Bell, PA 19422.
