Beatrice White-Day

BEATRICE WHITE-DAY, 92, OF POTTSTOWN Beatrice (Jones) White-Day, 92, widow of Leroy Day of North Franklin Street, Pottstown, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at Park House Providence Pointe, Royersford. Born in Lancaster she was the daughter of George and Katherine (O'Neil) Jones. She was employed as a nurse's aide at the Penhurst Center and Norristown State Hospital. She was a 60 year member and Past Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star #87. She was a member and Deaconess of Second Baptist Church and was the last surviving member of the original Senior Choir. She gave her heart to the Lord at 11 years of age. Beatrice loved to crochet, gardening and baking and was a talented seamstress. She adored her family and cherished the time spent with her pet Bay-Bay. Surviving are sons Charles, Ronald, George and James White all of Pottstown; daughters Kathryn Cooper, Pottstown and Mary Elizabeth Greene, NC; 25 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday December 10, 2013 at Second Baptist Church, N. Adams and Jefferson Sts., Pottstown. Burial will be in Limerick Garden of Memories.
