Clayton O. Setzler Jr.

CLAYTON O. SETZLER JR., 79, OF KIMBERTON Clayton O. Setzler Jr., 79, husband of June A. (Metzgar) Setzler of Kimberton, PA, died on Monday, May 13, 2013 at home. Born in Phoenixville, PA, he was the son of the late Clayton O. Sr. and Anna C. (Megargee) Setzler. He graduated from Phoenixville High School and was the first PA State Champion in High Jump. In 2012, he was inducted into the Phoenixville High School Hall of Fame. He served in the PA National Guard for eight years. He worked at Phoenixville Lumber Company and Shelly's Lumber Company. Clayton was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Spring City. He also was a member of Free and Accepted Masons Phoenix Lodge 75 in Phoenixville, Tall Cedars of Lebanon in Spring City, the Famous Bucktown Boosters and was President and CEO of WGAS. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Jill, wife of Daniel Robinson; Holly, wife of Joseph Ippolito, and Candace, wife of Steven Jones; sons, Clayton Setzler III and his wife, Margie, and Christopher Setzler, and his wife, Maria, and seven grandchildren, Tyler, Olivia, Danny, Billy, Joey, Lizzie and Lola. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service in the Devlin Rosmos Kepp & Gatcha Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 517 S. Main Street at Fourth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA, on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. with Rev. Paul Townsend officiating. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. A Masonic Service will be held on Friday at 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be sent to Chester County SPCA, 1212 Phoenixville Pike, West Chester, PA 19380.
