Harold M. Cullum

HAROLD M. CULLUM, 93, OF POTTSTOWN Harold M. Cullum of Pottstown, died on December 4, 2013 at the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home in Duncansville, PA. He was 93. Loving Husband of Elizabeth (Schmidt) Cullum, to whom he shared 61 years of marriage. Born and raised in Pottstown, Harold was son of the late Russell and Helen (Romich) Cullum. He was a 1938 Graduate of Pottstown High School, and served in the US Army during WWII. He was the recipient of a Purple Heart. Harold worked at the Firestone Plant in Pottstown, and later worked for the North End Fire Company as a pump operator until his retirement in 1985. He was a past member of the American Legion, Oddfellows, and North End Fire Company #1. He enjoyed gardening around his home, and took pride in flying the American Flag on a daily basis. In addition to his wife, Elizabeth, Harold is survived by one daughter; Dawn DiPette of Pottstown; two grandchildren: Benjamin A. DiPette, Alessandra DiPette and his cousin, Irene Dilks. Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Service, Wednesday, December 11, 2 p.m. at the Houck & Gofus Funeral Home, 955 N. Charlotte St. Pottstown. The family will receive guests after 1 p.m. Rev. Jim Wolford will officiate. Interment in Highland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
