James C. Fitzpatrick

JAMES C. FITZPATRICK, 91, OF PHOENIXVILLE James C. Fitzpatrick, 91, of Phoenixville, PA, died on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at home. He was the husband of Teresa (Scaringi) Fitzpatrick, who he was married to for 67 years. Born in Branchdale, PA, he was the son of the late James and Elizabeth Fitzpatrick. James served in the United States Army during World War II as a Control System Repairman in Rhineland, Central Europe. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, the Service Medal with two Bronze Stars and the World War II Victory Medal. He was a coal miner when he lived upstate, and then worked for Brown Brothers in Conshohocken, PA when they moved to Phoenixville. He was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Phoenixville. He enjoyed playing with computers and fixing cars. James loved his family and was a true family man. Surviving in addition to his wife are his son, Robert Fitzpatrick of Phoenixville;, his daughter, Kathleen wife of George Daher of Pottstown, PA; four grandchildren, Maureen wife of Robert Lahman; Joseph Daher and fiance Jennifer; Jessica wife of Michael Viscusi, and Robert J. Fitzpatrick; six great-grandchildren, Taylor Jones; Jackson Daher; Parker and Cooper Viscusi; Kaelyn Fitzpatrick and Robert J. Fitzpatrick, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Rev. Monsignor James J. Fitzpatrick, his grandson, Barry A. Jones, his brothers, Patrick McGovern, Bernard McGovern, Thomas Fitzpatrick, and his bisters, Teresa Paulis, Elizabeth Fitzpatrick and Marie Quinn. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his funeral Mass in Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 219 Dayton Street, Phoenixville, on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Limerick Garden of Memories. A viewing will be held on Tuesday morning in the church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the Salvation Army at https://donate.salvationarmyusa.org.
