Leona P. List

1918 - 2013

Leona P. (Royer) List, 94, of Royersford, Pa., died Saturday morning, April 13, 2013, in the Seasons Hospice at Phoenixville Hospital.
Born in Limerick, Pa., on Aug. 14, 1918, she was a daughter of the late David and Emma (Geisinger) Royer.
She was a 1936 graduate of the Royersford High School.
Leona was a long term member of the Green Tree Church of the Brethren in Oaks, Pa. She served as a deacon and was a Sunday school teacher for many years at the Church. Leona List also volunteered at Camp Swatara as a camp counselor, director and "camp grandma." She carried on several friendships over the years from campers she met. She was also a member of the senior fellowship of Limerick.
Leona is survived by two children: P. Henry, husband of Sue List, of Michigan; Florence L. List of Royersford; two siblings: Carl, husband of Betty (Yost) Royer, of Royersford; Esther, wife of Ralph Ochs, of Royersford; three grandchildren: Christopher List, Mark List, Lori (List) Weaver; and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. List was pre-deceased by two sisters: Mildred Stevens and Alice Hallman.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at the Green Tree Church of the Brethren, 1078 Egypt Road, P.O. Box 874, Oaks, PA 19456, on Thursday morning, April 18, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. David A. Leiter and Rev. Rodney O'Donnell. Burial will be in the Limerick Garden of Memories, Limerick, Pa. Friends will be received from 9 to 10:15 a.m. Thursday morning at the Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in her name to the Green Tree Church of the Brethren at the above address.
