Lori M. (Batzel) Higgins, 48, of Mohnton, Pa., formerly of Phoenixville, Pa., wife of the late Thomas J. Higgins, passed away peacefully Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012 in St. Joseph Medical Center in Reading, Pa.
Lori fought her battle with such strength, faith and courage, always with a smile, always with compassion for others, always making you laugh. Lori was a true inspiration to all who had the pleasure of being part of her life. To know her was to love her and she will be deeply and sadly missed.
Born Feb. 14, 1964, she was the daughter of David V. Batzel of Phoenixville and Andrea M. (Jacob) Toner of Plymouth Meeting, who said their little Valentine will forever be their sweetheart.
She was a 1982 graduate of Phoenixville High School.
Lori made her career as the favorite bank teller no matter what bank she was working at.
She loved the beach, traveling, dancing, going to the casinos and hanging out with her friends.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by three brothers, David C. Batzel, husband of Tiffany, of Douglassville, Michael T. Batzel, of Plymouth Meeting, and Devin P. Toner, of Plymouth Meeting. She is also survived by her maternal grandparents, Andrew and Elaine Jacob, of New Holland, her stepbrother, Joseph Toner, of Reading, and her stepsisters, Susan Borzillo, of Boyertown, Kimberly Favinger, of Pottstown, and Patricia Onufer, of Schwenksville, along with a multitude of family members and friends.
Lori was preceded in death by a stepsister, Kathleen Martin.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass in St. Ann Chapel, 604 S. Main St., Phoenixville, Pa., Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012 at 11 a.m.
Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery.
Friends may call at the chapel Wednesday from 9 to 10:45 a.m.
