MARGARET JEAN HESS-FENNELL, 70 Margaret Jean Hess-Fennell of Phoenixville, PA, died Sunday, September 2, 2012 at Season's Hospice, in Phoenixville. She was 70. Born in Newark, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Arnold Michael and Lucretia Rae (Johnson) Hess. In recent years, Mrs. Hess-Fennell authored a book regarding her experience with cancer, "I Am Alive for God's Sake," and co-authored two books with her grandchildren under the name A.M. Brimmar (available through Amazon.com). She worked as an Organization Psychologist for United Biosource Corporation, headquartered in Bethesda, MD. She was a member of St. Ann Roman Catholic Church, Phoenixville, where she served as a lector and a Eucharistic minister. She had served many years as the president of National Exhibits by Blind Artists (NEBA), and as an associate director of Associated Services of the Blind in Philadelphia. She also was the founder of Cross Roads Group, which provided safety training to area businesses. Earlier, she worked as a reporter for the Chestnut Hill Local, and as an English teacher in several Catholic schools, including Ancillae-Assumpta Academy in Glenside, PA, and St. Anthony's in Kearny, NJ. She received her A.B. in English from St. Mary's College of Notre Dame, and earned her Master's in Psychology from Immaculata College. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Daniel J. Fennell Sr.; her son, Daniel Fennell Jr. and his wife, Maria Sylvia Prieto; her son, Brian T. Fennell and his wife, Catherine S. Fennell; her daughter, Elizabeth S. Murphy and her husband, Sean Murphy, and her five grandchildren, Aidan Sean and Meghan Elizabeth Murphy, Brian Francis, Maria Lucretia and Michael Joseph Fennell, as well as by her sister, Lucretia Ganley and her husband, Robert Ganley of Exeter NH, and her brother, Arnold M. Hess II and his wife, Bernice Hess of North Palm Beach, FL, in addition to numerous nephews and nieces. Funeral Mass will be held at the chapel of St. Ann Catholic Church, Third Ave. and Main Street, Phoenixville, on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends may attend a viewing at Devlin Rosmos Kepp & Gatcha Funeral Home, 517 S.
