Mary Stuart Obituary

Mary E. (O'Donnell) Stuart, 88, of Phoenixville, Pa., died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013. She was the wife of the late John R. Stuart.
Born in Phoenixville, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Daniel J.C. O'Donnell, Esq., and the late Mary E. (Haggerty) O'Donnell.
She graduated from Hallahan Catholic Girls' High School in Philadelphia and was a member of the Alumni Association.
Mary served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
She worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad and then for Gimbels and Sterns Department Store.
She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, past president of St. Ann Women's Guild and was a lector. She was also a member of the Phoenixville Historical Society, American Legion, past president of the Womens' Club of Phoenixville, and past president of the Friends of the Phoenixville Library. She also was a volunteer librarian for St. Ann Catholic School for 25 years.
She is survived by her sons, Sean Stuart and Kevin Stuart, both of Phoenixville, as well as her daughter, Sheila, wife of Frank Lutz, of Thermopolis, Wyo. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jason, Nicole, and Jessica Lutz, and her great-granddaughter, Lindsay Lutz.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Judge William J.C. O'Donnell.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass in St. Ann Catholic Church, Main Street at Third Avenue, Phoenixville, Pa., Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. John J. Newns officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemtery.
Arrangements are by the Devlin Rosmos Kepp & Gatcha Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Phoenixville, Pa.
