THOMAS CROFT, 87, OF ELIZABETHTOWN Thomas Croft, 87, a resident of The Masonic Homes at Elizabethtown and formerly of Phoenixville, passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. He was the widower of Isabelle W. "Polly" Croft. Tom was born in Norristown to the late Joseph B. and Melba (Thomas) Croft. After graduating from Upper Merion High School, he went to work for Weiland Packing Company. He later owned and operated Croft Stationery in Phoenixville for 44 years before retiring and moving to Elizabethtown. He and Polly were members of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Exton. Since 1954, Tom was a member and 32 Degree Master Mason at Phoenix Lodge #75. He and Polly were also active in numerous civic and charitable activities in the Phoenixville community. He is survived by a daughter, Cornelia L. Franklin, wife of Domonic, of Berea, OH; grandchildren, Jessica Franklin Gamble, wife of Kenny, and Andrew Franklin, husband of Sara; great-granddaughter, Kamara Franklin; nieces, Wendy Croft Gwaltney and husband, Allen of Locust Grove, VA; Joyce Huntress Hurbst and Jackie Huntress Cloud, both of Augusta, GA, and nephew, Joseph B. Croft III and wife, Ellen of Fuquey Varina, NC. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Huntress, and brother, Joseph B. Croft Jr. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1105 East Lincoln Highway, Exton, PA. Calling time is from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. A luncheon will follow in the church social hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested in Tom's memory to be made to Phoenix Lodge #75, 207 C/O Ken Good, 320 Kulp Rd., Pottstown, PA 19465.
