ALBERT E. BERTLES, 71, OF POTTSTOWN Albert E. Bertles, 71, of Willow St., Pottstown, husband of Nancy D. (Haught) Bertles, died Saturday at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was a son of the late Russell Bertles and the late Edith (Cupitt) Hunsberger. He worked as a machinist for Teleflex for twenty years retiring in 2004. Albert was a member of Morning Star Fellowship, Becthelsville. He was a drag strip racer, racing at Maple Grove Raceway, also raced at Grandview Speedway, and was an avid bowler. Surviving besides his wife of twenty eight years is a grandaughter that they raised together Laura McAllister, Erin, NY; two daughters Dorothy Bertles, Horsehead, NY, Dana Seelig, Fort Pierce, FL; a brother Russell Bertles, Perkasie; a sister Edith Burrillion, Philadelphia; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be 10 A.M. on Monday, May 5, 2014 from Morning Star Fellowship, 100 Limekiln Rd., Becthelsville. Officiating will be Reverend Steven DeFrain. Entombment will be in Limerick Garden of Memories. There will be a viewing Monday from 9 to 10 A.M. at the church. Contributions may be made in his memory to the Benevolent Care Fund at Morning Star Fellowship, 100 Limekiln Rd., Bechtelsville, PA 19505.
