ALFRED F. SCHWARTZ OF NORTH COVENTRY Alfred F. Schwartz, 73, of North Coventry, passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center with his family at his side. He was the beloved husband of Sally McKeown Schwartz, with whom he shared 57 years of marriage. Born at home in Danboro, Bucks County, PA, he was the son of the late Frank A. and Helen Hostman Schwartz. He and his family had also lived in Montgomery and Chester counties. He was a graduate of Central Bucks High School in Doylestown. Mr. Schwartz was employed as a construction manager with L.F. Driscoll for 14 years until his retirement in 2001. Prior to that, he served as vice president of mechanical construction with Willard, Inc. for 23 years, and before that was employed by Atlas Mechanical. He was in construction for a total of 45 years. It was his work but also his passion. His personal motto was "There is only one way to do things - the right way." He was a car enthusiast and enjoyed showing his cars at the Corvette car shows in Carlisle, PA, where he won many awards in the Fun Display. He also entered his truck in the Franklin Mint truck show. He enjoyed going to the Blue Angels air shows and attending the fly-in in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Mr. Schwartz found pleasure while working in his vegetable garden and was fond of birds and all wildlife. He loved spending time with his family and his sheep dogs in Stone Harbor. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Alfred F. Jr. and his wife, Audrey, of Malvern, and Daniel L. of Glenmoore. He is also survived by his brother, Frank A. of Revere, PA, and by granddaughters, Ashley E. and Hailey J. Schwartz. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 3, at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown, where friends may call from 10 - 11 a.m. Interment will be private.
