Anna E. (Boettger) Corbin, 94, wife of the late Richard A. Corbin Sr., of Gilbertsville, Pa., passed away on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, in the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. |
Born in Philadelphia, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Otto and Marie (Dahl) Boettger.
Mrs. Corbin was a member of Valley Forge Baptist Temple, and she taught Sunday school and after school Bible club for many years. She was a great cook, and was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother.
Mrs. Corbin is survived by two daughters, Ann L. Fritz-Keatley of Royersford, Donna M., wife of Thomas Moses, of Limerick; two sons, the Rev. Richard A. Jr., husband of Shirley Corbin, of Charleston, W.V., George B., husband of Ruth Corbin, of Gilbertsville, Pa.; two sisters, Theresa Bauer and Doris Kauffman; 17 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Daniel Lee Corbin in 1999; four siblings, Otto Boettger, Carl Boettger, Marie Bradford, Louise Weaver; and one great-granddaughter Annika Ruth Corbin.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at the Valley Forge Baptist Temple, 616 S. Trappe Road, Collegeville, PA 19426 on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013, at 11 a.m. Officiating will be her son, the Rev. Richard A. Corbin Jr., and the Rev. Scott E. Wendal. Burial will follow in the Limerick Garden of Memories. Friends will be received at the Church from 10 to 10:45 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Valley Forge Baptist Academy, 616 S. Trappe Road, Collegeville, PA 19426.
Arrangements are being handled by the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Royersford.
