ANNE OSTERHOUDT, 95, OF LANSDALE Anne (White) Osterhoudt, 95, of Lansdale, formerly West Chester, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2011, in the Brittany Pointe Estates, Lansdale. She was the wife of the late Lawrence J. Osterhoudt, who passed away on November 27. Born in Brooklyn, NY she was a daughter of the late William and Olive (Rasmussen) White. Mrs. Osterhoudt received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from New York University. She was employed at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City prior to her enlistment in the United States Navy. Anne was stationed at Washington Navy Yard, during World War II. Anne was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in West Chester. She had a great interest in history and was active in the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Mayflower Society. She had an interest in real estate and decided to obtain her real estate license. Mrs. Osterhoudt loved to play bridge and always had people to her home to play. Family was most important and she was involved in all facets of her children's and grandchildren's lives. Mrs. Osterhoudt is survived by two sons, Lewis E., husband of Jean (Simpson) Osterhoudt, of Phoenixville, and David L. Osterhoudt, husband of Linda C. Fridy, of Soquel, CA, and four grandchildren, Sandy, Amy, Ken and Keith Osterhoudt. She was preceded in death by one son, "Little Larry." Graveside services will be held privately at the convenience of the family in the Jacob Elting Burying Ground, New Paltz, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Anne's name to the Stepping Stone Education Center, 400 Franklin Avenue, Suite 250, Phoenixville, PA 19460, www.SteppingStoneEducation.org.
